Our depot

La Traction’s depot and workshop is situated at Pré-Petitjean (Montfaucon) on the line Glovelier – Saignelégier.

The main depot was installed on a former sawmill, in which 3 sidings had to be laid. An external line was also built leading to the coal and ash pits for the steam engines.

Two mechanical workshops were also installed here too. This enables La Traction to carry out almost all the overhaul, maintenance and repair work on the rolling stock at Pré-Petitjean.

A shed, built later on the North side of the main depot, with four stabling tracks, allows La Tractions’s carriages to be stabled under cover. 

La Traction’s depot is open to visitors on Saturdays or on demand.
